Tim calls his works Lightcuts - like woodcuts sculpted with light - the modern equivalent of the now defunct destructive dye development process

Tim developed his unique practice from the ground up. Based on the full gamut of light in his original images of the Australian bush, Tim sculpts away light to reveal the vivid colours, patterns, and contrasts in his works. As this process is highly organic, Tim is unable to reproduce the same original work twice
